Spring Produce

Shopping for seasonal produce can be cost-effective and a tastier way to up your fruit and veg intake. I'm all for snagging frozen fruits and veggies, as they are generally cheaper (not always) than fresh. Plus, you're not forced to consume them within 4 days of purchase before they go bad. BUT, you can't beat the crispness of fresh fruit and vegetables, amiright?

Take a look at what's in season in the Spring:

Asparagus

Avocados

Bananas

Broccoli

Carrots

Celery

Kale

Kiwi

Lemons

Lettuce

Limes

Mushrooms

Onions

Peas

Pineapples

Radishes

Strawberries

Screen shot this list for your next grocery run.

Let me tell ya, I'm already looking forward to the Summer list... fresh, chilled watermelon is TOO good on a hot summer day.
