Summer Produce Picks

As I mentioned in April... Summer produce is, hands down, my favorite of all the seasons. The bright colors, the crispness, the refreshing flavors. I can't get enough!

This year, Alec and I have a small garden (shout out to Alec's parents for the help), which houses green beans, cucumbers, parsley, chives, and cilantro.

If you already have a garden, take advantage of the fruits, veggies, and herbs you already have on hand. If not, try checking out your local farmer's market for some fresh summer produce. Otherwise, shopping for the in-season produce can be tastier and even save you a couple dimes.

Take a look at what's in season in the Summer:

Apples

Avocados

Bananas

Beets

Blackberries

Blueberries

Cantaloupe

Carrots

Celery

Cherries

Corn

Cucumbers

Eggplant

Garlic

Green beans

Honeydew

Lemons

Limes

Mangos

Peaches

Raspberries

Strawberries

Summer Squash (who woulda thought!)

Tomatoes

Watermelon

Zucchini

Screen shot this list for your next grocery run.

Enjoy!
