Reframing bad body image

Body image is about how you view yourself.

It's common to have "bad body image days". Often it's hand-in-hand with an altered state of mental health (stress, anxiety, depression, etc.). "Bad body image days" are also common for women during certain phases of their cycle. Shoutout to bloating, cramps, and cravings for that one.

Regardless if you're a man or a woman, you have likely experienced a "bad body image day".

Without reframing the negative thoughts to positive ones, it can easily affect adherence to your lifts, cardio, and nutrition, therefore further impacting your results.

So, what are you to do when you have those thoughts?

Focus on what your body can do for you. Write down or share with your coach (me) some functionalities of your body.

Examples may look like:

I can walk my dog with ease.

I can carry all of my groceries in from the car.

I can run around with my kids.

I can digest my dinner.

I can play on the floor with my pets.

Boom, look at all that you can do!!!

How do you feel now that you've pinpointed some amazing things your body can do?!
