3 back mobility drills

Raise your hand if you've been personally victimized by having a tight back?

Everyone? Yeah, I think we've all been there to some extent, whether it's constant, intermittent, or infrequent.

You can thank the combination of working 8 hours per day and elevated stress for that one (amongst many other reasons, of course). Unfortunately, 1 hour of exercise and a quick mobility drill won't correct years of tightness, but you can absolutely progress in a positive direction if you work at it consistently.

Aside from the exercises shown in the video, you can increase mobility over time by seeking assistance in the following areas:

- daily movement

- massage therapy

- physical therapy

- chiropractic care

- sleeping on a quality mattress

- managing and/or minimizing stress

View the video below for 3 mobility exercises for your back.

I understand that fitness is not your whole life. Fitness is a PART of your life. I approach training in a way that adds value to your life and longevity, so you can enjoy being active whether you're romping around in the mountains, playing with your kids, or signing up for your first 10K race.

I'm here to meet you where you are, so you can train safely and effectively, and gain strength and confidence both in the gym and on the trails.
