A Weekend in Vancouver

Though spontaneity is not my strongest suit, I purchased a plane ticket to Vancouver, B.C., Canada one week before the travel date. I wasn't entirely sure where I would be sleeping, but I figured, I'm young, I can sleep on a floor if need be. Luckily, that didn't happen because my family was far too kind in letting me impose on their hotel stay.

The purpose of this trip was to visit my cousin and his wife as they celebrated their wedding reception this weekend in a town just south of Vancouver. I originally didn't think I would be able to attend, but last minute changes allowed me to surprise my cousin and his wife in their home land.

Friends were made & laughs were had at Mahony & Sons, Stamps Landing on False Creek. Definitely check it out next time you are in B.C.!

Pelagos Greek Restaurant on Crescent Beach provided a delicious dinner with great company and amazing views. There's nothing like a sunset on the beach.

Our last day in Vancouver was accompanied by lunch on White Rock Beach, yummy gelato, and a beautiful wedding reception. From the greenery and centerpieces, to the catering and dance floor, it was the perfect backyard setting. Even the weather was excellent! Congratulations to my cousin and his wife! (P.S. check out her health blog!)

It blew me away that you were able to see snow-capped mountains, lush greenery, sandy beaches, and technologically advanced skyscrapers all in one panoramic view. If you haven't visited to Vancouver, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list!

Stay tuned for more upcoming travels. Next stop: Denver, CO.

XOXO
