Top 3 Fitness Watches

Fitness watches are getting more and more technical each year.

Which is great when you find one that you like, but also challenging if you're not sure which one will be good for you.

Here are the brands I recommend checking out --

Garmin

I currently own and wear the Garmin Fenix 6S.

Who I'd suggest Garmin to:

If you are training in sport-specific activities (running, hiking, cycling, etc.)

If you want or need GPS mapping for your activities (off-grid hiking, climbing, golfing, etc.)

If you want an in-depth analysis of your training status.

Apple

I own Apple products, but this is not one I've personally purchased.

Who I'd suggest Apple to:

If you currently own other Apple products and enjoy them.

If you want a general fitness watch, that also allows you to view and respond to notifications, messages, phone calls, emails, etc. all from your wrist.

If you want a quality watch that isn't sport specific.

Polar

Before buying my Garmin, I considered getting a Polar watch. Based on my needs, I chose Garmin, but Polar has a lot to offer.

Who I'd suggest Polar to:

If you have performance goals, specific to heart rate training.

If you want to pair your watch with a chest heart rate monitor for more accuracy (as opposed to just on your wrist).

If you enjoy viewing and analyzing performance data.

Overall, which watch is best for you will depend on your goals, how much accuracy you want with your data, what your budget is, and what else you'll use the watch for besides basic needs.
